Visiting Steelcase (ChairClub) was more than just an experience—it was a challenge. A challenge to rethink how design, productivity, health, and wellbeing intersect, not just in a workspace but in the world at large. It made me ask:
How can we use creative confidence and collaboration to shape our communities and economies rather than just adapt to what others create?
The reality is clear. We are in an uncertain global economy where AI is accelerating innovation at an unprecedented pace. The question is no longer whether AI will change industries—it already is. The real question is:
Will we collaborate to design systems that harness today’s technologies to advance our economies—or will we sit back, wait, and consume what others build?
The challenge of innovation and the resources needed are not evenly distributed:
• Not everyone is inspired to generate impactful global ideas.
• Not everyone has the skills to execute and implement challenging solutions.
• Not everyone has the resources—human or capital—to push change.
• Not everyone has the networks to scale well-designed solutions.
But here’s the truth: No one has everything, but together we have enough.
To creatively lead and effectively execute innovative ideas, we must increase collaboration. We must move beyond isolated brilliance and into collective intelligence. Because real change doesn’t happen in silos—it happens when we come together to work.
So I ask—what will it be?
Will we build, collaborate, and contribute, or will we stand on the sidelines while others define the future?
Drop a comment, let’s talk. And more importantly, let’s act.
